Will Stoothoff's profile
I'm male
What I do
Currently I am a postdoctoral fellow in my 3rd year at Massachusetts General Hospital, in the lab of Bradley Hyman M.D. PhD. My project focuses on using Second Harmonic Generation to visualize the in tact microtubule network of living neurons and how they are affected by manipulating the tau protein.

Interests
My primary interest is in understanding how the tau protein functions in neurons under both physiological and pathological conditions. Ultimately, I would like to clearly define, using a variety of microscopic and biological techniques, tau’s specific function within the axon and how its presence influences microtubule structure and dynamics.
Projects
Monitoring of tau-tubulin interactions utilizing second harmonic generation.
