Ursula Kaulmann's profile

What I do
I am an experienced molecular microbiologist. At the moment I work on an interdisciplinary biocatalysis project (BiCE) that aims at the integration of biocatalysis with chemistry. The concepts and tools are tested with a two-step conversion involving carbon-carbon bond formation to create a ketodiol and amination to create a chiral aminodiol. My role within the project is the recruitment and characterisation of novel bacterial omega-transaminases.
