Interests
My current interests revolve around mitochondria, both as a means of indirectly assessing neural activity and as a possible therapeutic target for many neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Projects
I have worked with Dr Naoum Issa’s lab in optical imaging of primary visual cortex; specifically, I have been involved with studies related to the spatial organization of visual stimulus parameters. I have also been developing a new metabolic (but non-hemodynamic!) optical imaging technique, and have used it to confirm spatial frequency maps of primary visual cortex.
