What I do
After 20 years running a US-based academic lab I am now based in Oxford UK. I am engaged in lecturing in cell biology and research into imaging of live cells. I also undertake freelance science writing from proof reading to major projects (see weblink).

Interests
My current research is concerned with novel imaging techniques of living cells using time-resolved fluorescence microscopy imaging.
I also lecture at undergraduate level in biology and my current interests include writing and reviewing, which I undertake on a freelance basis. My reviewing activity has included editorial board memberships of several journals (JBC, BiophysJ etc)and MRC and US PHS NIH reviewing activities.
