I help to run the research grant programme for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
We fund medical and psychosocial research into all aspects of prostate cancer.
I am also involved with explaining the research we fund to our supporters and the pubic.

Interests
The life sciences have always been my major interest.
Having discovered during my PhD that doing research was not the best way for me to contribute to the world of science I moved to the other side! By the other side I mean research management and science communication.
Working for The Prostate Cancer Charity has opened my eyes to what is a major problem.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year in the UK.
10,000 men a year die as a result of prostate cancer in the UK.
