Interests
I am interested in exploring cortical microcircuitry and interrogating the information processing capabilities of frontal cortex in the context of decision-making and motor planning and coordination.
Projects
I am currently studying mechanisms of hyperexcitability in the thalamocortical circuit in the lab of John Huguenard. My current project involves alterations in AMPA Glutamate Receptor subunit composition in the neocortex and the relationship to recovery from focal brain damage and tendency for epilepsy.
