Interests
I have been working on biomarker discovery for a while. My role is mostly to setup analytical platforms and validate them. Our group at ISB is looking at plasma for biomarkers of diabetes and cancer.
Projects
Label-free quantification based on LC-MS peak intensity was my first main project at ISB. The idea was to find differentially abundant peaks from LC-MS maps and select only those for MS/MS fragmentation.
Anothter big project is to use multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) and isotopically labeled synthetic peptides to measure absolute quantification of very low abundant peptides.
