    • Interests

My currently main interests are in cognition, culture, technology, arts and meaning. I’m also a musician, and my gradaution studies were in cinema, so I also have been doing some artworks in the last years, with video, performance, text and music.

    • Projects

Currently, I’m engaged in creating conditions for working in the hypothesis that consciousness should be thought of as meaning, something I breefly presented as a poster in the last Tucson conference, with very interesting reception. The hypothesis derives from previous work in which I’ve examined some questions posed by culture and language in the understanding of consciousness; and it demands an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together contribuitions of philosophy (mainly Phenomenology), biology (Maturana, Varela), Anthropology (Classen, Howes), Linguistics (Flusser, Lackof and Johnson, Ruthroff). Thus, it is a project for some years of work, presently being developed as an article. I’m also working in an album with my songs; and we’re discussing the imppacts of technology in cognition and education with educators in the school my daughter studies at.
