Interests

My research interests are broad in the fields of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. My research these days have to do with 1) Determinants of broad scale variation in species richness and biota composition, 2) the effects of dispersal and evolution in the structure of metacommunities and 3) the community assembly of bat ectoparasite infracommunities. To study these issues I frequently use spatial statistics, computer simulations, and null model analyses.
