Interests
I am working on several projects related to development of novel lentiviral vectors for the purpose of gene therapy. Briefly, I am working on the adoption of non-integrating lentiviral vectors for delivery into human skin using microneedles. This will be for the purpose of vaccination. My other objective is to develop a vector system for targeting the provirus carrying the transgene of interest into a specified region of the genome, something which has not been achieved so far. This, if accomplished, will be immensely useful to allay fears of random integration of lentivectors leading to undesired effects.
