Ramji Bhandari's profile
What I do
My research focuses on how SRY coordinates downstream signalling pathways during male sex determination and differentiation of somatic cells in the testis. We have a couple of candidate genes (transcription factors) from rat embryonic microarray experiments, which are involved in cellular differentiation, and their mutation causes sex reversal in males, as well as severe abnormality in kidney function and cancers in head, neck, lungs and prostrate.
