Interests
My prior research is in the areas of Machine Learning and Computational Linguistics. I believe that the discipline of Machine Learning is the key resource for Systems Biology in providing ways to build structured probabilistic models of complex biological phenomena. My current projects include Bayesian modeling of expression data, building syntactically sophisticated engines for mining biological literature, analysis of hierarchy in biological networks and semi-supervised learning for biological data collection and analysis.
