• Andrew Perry's profile

    I'm male

    • What I do

I’m a structural biologist, mostly from the NMR side of the fence, but I also do some protein crystallography. I have a general interest in structural bioinformatics, web services and “Web2.0” for science. The biological systems I currently study include the mitochondrial protein import machinary (TOM, TIM and SAM complexes), and the machinary involved in insertion and assembly of bacterial outer membrane proteins.

    • Interests

Structural bioinformatics, protein structure by NMR and X-ray crytallography, protein transport and protein targeting, membrane protein folding and assembly, beta-barrel membrane proteins.

    • Projects

Structure and function of the mitochondrial protein protein import machinary and bacterial outer membrane protein insertion and assembly.
