  I am currently a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Leeds, UK.
  I am delighted to observe the structure of myosin and actin and their interaction on electron microscope.
  I am involved in image processing using Spider software. I am also learning to use Cryo-electron microscopy to study unstained frozen-hydrated myosin and actin.

  Myosin V regulation
  
  Myosin V is a motor protein that transports cargoes along the actin filaments. Recently, we have published the folded/inhibited structure of myosin 5 in Nature. This folded structure binds only weakly to actin and allows it to recycle new cargoes.
