    • What I do

I am a recent doctor in Biology who’s been working up until now on some population ecology work, particularly connected with birds’ dispersal, and molecular ecology / population genetics, and the application of the knowledge derived from these studies in conservation of endangered fauna.

    • Interests

I am interested in population ecology and ecological genetics, in particular dispersal and structure of populations, along with the application in conservation of endangered species. However, I am becoming increasingly interested in how ecological and evolutionary processes interact, so I am trying to veer the direction of my career a little bit, for which I actually need some help :)

    • Projects

-Spanish imperial eagle feathers genotyping with microsatellite and MHC (Major Histocompatibility Complex) genes (this is my current job).
-Juvenile dispersal, recruitment to the breeding population and its effect on the genetic structure of Bonelli’s eagle Hieraaetus fasciatus populations in the Iberian Peninsula. 2002-2007 (my PhD project).
-Biomonitoring air quality in Galicia (NW Spain). 1999-2000(this was my undergraduate project, a loooooong time ago).
