What I do
My PhD supervisors are Gordon Dougan (Microbial Pathogenesis group at Sanger), Julian Parkhill (Pathogen Sequencing group at Sanger) and Duncan Maskell (Vet School at Cambridge).
My area of research is genetic variation in Salmonella Typhi, which I approach through whole-genome sequencing using ABI/Sanger sequencing and the new 454 and Solexa platforms, and genotyping using Sequenom and Illumina arrays.
