    • What I do

The core of my research is developing and using chemical analytical tools for analysis of xenobiotics. I head the environmental chemistry laboratory and my primary research is focused on the transformation and transport of pesticides in soil and groundwater. It covers various scales – from laboratory batch to field scale experiments. The research integrates with enforcement and monitoring aspects. I have experience with environmental as well as food matrices. Prior to my research on the occurrence and fate of xenobiotics, I employed biochemistry and biophysics at the protein level characterising stress adaptation in microorganisms and plants
