      Jayson is a long time open-source proponent with expertise in Java, Linux, Bioinformatics/Proteomics, P2P and web development. He has been an expert group member for several Java specifications, published many articles and books Currently Jayson is finishing his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and is most well known for his work on ProteomeCommons.org and the Tranche P2P network for scientific data.

      Before moving to a life of computing, Jayson was a full time artist. As seen in the profile picture, one of Jayson’s current favorite media is spray paint (done legally of course!).

      Primary interests include Java, Linux, open-source software and open-data access, particularly for scientific data sets. Often I’m categorized as a “builder”, which fits my style well. I really enjoy implementing the tools required to make good thoughts and ideas work.
