What I do
I am an associate editor of Nature Photonics who is based in the NPG Nature Asia-Pacific Tokyo office together with the chief editor. My responsibilities include handling manuscripts, commissioning review, News and Views and Commentary articles, writing research highlights, conducting interviews, attending conferences and visiting photonics groups in Asia-Pacific region.

Interests
Nonlinear optics, biophotonics, ultrafast photonics, nanophotonics, fibre optics, optical communications, microwave photonics and optical sensing.
I like sports ranging from ball games, such as basketball and volleyball, and racquet games, such as badminton and squash, through to swimming and jogging. I also enjoy diving, snowboarding and skiing, and I started surfing last summer.
Photography has been my hobby since I was little. I am a Canon aficionado. My tools so far include Canon EOS Kiss Digital X, Canon EOS 300, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II USM, EF 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6 II USM, EF 50mm f/1.8 II, EF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 II, EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 II and more to come :)
