Interests
The main areas of my research:
a) Investigation and analysis of new optical measurement and monitoring techniques within medicine including: i. In-vivo near-infrared spectroscopy of brain; ii. Analysis of broadband near-infrared measurements; iii. Spectroscopic monitoring of metabolism in-vivo.
b) Application of optical and multi-modality techniques to clinical diagnostic and monitoring of adult and brain function.
c) Development of novel techniques and software for analysis of optical and physiological data.
d) Analysis of in-vivo measurements of brain haemodynamics, metabolism and bioenergetics.
e) Investigation of brain regulation under a systems biology approach using MIAS/IRC BRAINCIRC computational model of the cerebral physiology.
