The neurobiological underpinnings of Autism are mesmerizing.

Establishing the relationship between the neurobiological underpinnings of Autism Spectrum disorders and the associated cognitive deficits is arguably a major priority in the field; especially with the likelihood that these findings could be applied in some capacity to the development of improved diagnostics and treatments.

In general, Autism research findings are a popular mainstream media topic. Associated questions I ask of myself and others are:
How does Autism research or Autism in general impact or relate to your life?
What are your opinions of research findings?
Are the research implications from journal articles mirrored in the general public opinion?

My thesis project focuses on neuropathology and neuropharmacology of language areas in Autism.
