Interests
Current Research
My primary field of academic interest are the biogeochemical changes that have affected oceans in the past and will again in the future. Over the past five years, I have been studying the behaviour of a phosphorus (P), a major productivity limiting nutrient and how it behaves under hypoxic (oxygen deficient) conditions at the sediment-water interface. Background
My current research focuses on the Baltic Sea, large parts of which are extremely hypoxic. This project focuses on the dynamics of phosphorus burial under dysoxic to hypoxic conditions. -
