What I do
I am a marine biologist and coral reef ecologist.RESEARCH INTERESTS: Climate Change Research, Experimental Ecology, Coral Ecotoxicology, Marine Diseases, and Coral Reproduction. Current research focuses on the interacting impacts of increasing CO2 and temperatures on coral reefs.

Interests
I am a coral reef ecologist specializing on the impacts of anthropogenic stress on coral reefs. I did my PhD research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) on the impacts of declining water quality on coral reefs. After receiving my PhD in 2005 I did a postdoc at STRI studying the ecology and epizoology of White Band Disease, the most devastating Caribbean coral disease. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Queensland studing the interactive impacts of global warming and ocean acidification on the Great Barrier Reef.
Projects
White Band Disease Epizoology and host resistance with Dr. Steve Vollmer (Northeastern University)
Caribbean Reef Futures a long-term coral holobiont monitoring program at STRI with Drs Mary Alice Coffroth, Monica Medina, and Steve Vollmer.
Future Reefs: The Impacts of Warming and Acidification on the Great Barrier Reef. Advisor: Ove Hoegh-Guldberg with Drs. Ken Anthony, Guillermo Diaz Pullido, Sophie Dove, and Selina Ward.
