What I do

I am currently a first year PhD student at BCM interested in human genetics and genomics.
I obtained my BSc on Genomic Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
I have been involved in projects related to human genome dynamics and structural variation. I have also worked on human plasma proteomics for the detection of cancer biomarkers.

I am interested in projects related to the Human Genome: from its sequence, structure, and architecture to its expression and regulation. And how this knowledge can be applied to actually benefit people’s lives through diagnostic and therapies for diseases.
