Projects
The aim of my project (in colaboration with the research group) is to realize a complete characterization of IORT-dedicated Linac electron beams by using theoretical evaluation and experimental measurements in order to evaluate the adsorbed dose by the irradiated cells; to evaluate the radiobiological response in vitro of human
tumour cells to electron beams generated by an IORT-dedicated Linac and to the develop a dedicated method to evaluate the patient-specific dose
distribution in IORT treatment, performing it through the imaging information and a Monte
Carlo simulation.
