My background is in bacteriology and following college I worked for a few years in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases. I hope to begin graduate school, probably in immunology and/or microbiology, in the fall of 2009.

Role of macrophages in increasing local inflammation in the joint, role of complement components in initiating/sustaining inflammation mediated tissue damage, potential therapeutics/targets to reverse inflammation
