What I do
I am a stem cell biologist interested in identifying signaling molecules involved in the regular differentiation of stem and progenitor cells since these pathways are deregulated in these cells to give rise to cancer initiating cells.

Interests
I am interested in the application of the cancer stem cell concept to devising new therapies to target these rare cells specifically.

Projects
1).Isolation and characterization of human mammary epithelial progenitors
2). Identification of unique NOTCH target genes involved in the differentiation of bipotential mammary progenitors to the lineage-restricted progenitors.
3). Isolation and characterization of cancer stem cells from solid tumours -
