Synthetic non-viral drug delivery systems, Targeted cancer therapeutics, RNAi,
Peptide and sugar-based ligand development, Nanomedicine, Carbohydrate-based drugs for vascular diseases, Cardiovascular chemistry and anti-thrombotics, Bio-inspired biomaterials and Self-assembling Peptides, New synthetic methodology and bioactive molecule development. -
Projects
(1) Development of novel drug delivery Vectors/gene delivery.
(2) Targeted Ligand development, delivery of therapeutic siRNA-containing nanoparticles.
(3) Carbohydrate-based anti-inflammatory agents targeted towards cardiovascular diseases;
(4) Preclinical process and analytical development, evaluation and scaling-up operations of API and formulation/pre-formulation developmental activities.
(5) Design and synthesis of cell surface carbohydrate mimetics such as Heparin/hyaluronan as modulators/inhibitors of signal transduction; (6) Generation of novel peptide-based materials (collagen) via self assembly for biomedical and nanotechnological applications;
(7) Biomolecular engineering of membrane-mimetics and extracellular matrix components;
(8) Multivalent scaffolding biomaterials, bioconjugates and novel drug delivery systems. -
