Interests
My research focuses on the neurobiology of drug addiction and reward. I am particularly interested in understanding how individuals attribute salience to cues associated with reward, and how that can lead to compulsive drug seeking and use.
I am also interested in the evolution of the nervous system, complex behavior (social cognition, language, etc), and neurodegenerative disease.
Projects
Autoshaping, IEG expression, psychomotor sensitization, cocaine self administration
