Lisa Munter's profile

What I do

I am working on the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease. My focus is the generation of Aß peptides by two different secretases. Basically these studies are done in cell culture systems and with biochemical analyses. As especially the Aß peptide with 42 amino acids is the causative agent in Alzheimer’s disease, the modulation of the mechanism leading to Aß42 will directly influence the progress of the disease.
