I write popular science articles and summaries of research for publications like New Scientist, National Geographic News, Science, Seed Magazine, and Physical Review Focus—and now Nature Network Boston, too.
My girlfriend started grad school at MIT in fall 2006, which is what brought me out here from San Francisco. (Yes, I left my heart there, sort of.)

Interests
My latest obsession is with climate change and energy technologies, but in general I jump around between different areas, with some of my past big interests being quantum physics, population genetics, and the history of evolutionary thought.
