    • Interests

My research focuses on predicting protein function on a genome-wide scale, using computational functional genomics methods. Besides elucidating protein function, I also employ such methods for the analysis of cellular systems and for pathway discovery.

    • Projects

Comparative genomics of apicomplexa; gene family analyses of Apicomplexa and higher order eukaryotes; development of computational tools and techniques for the study of Human/mouse genomes. I am also extending some of the work we did in Plasmodium falciparum (see Date and Stoeckert, Genome Res. Apr 2006) to other Plasmodium species.
