What I do
I am comparative developmental biologist interested in the reconstruction of the evolution of organs systems in a diversity of animals. I use a broad range of methods to describe animal development on the morphological and molecular level and reconstruct evolutionary history by comparisons between those. The necessary phylogenetic framework I reconstruct with the help of phylogenomics (EST based molecular phylogeny).
