What I do
I am with a diagnostic lab involved in carrying out PCR based assays for detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. We are using nested primers for the amplification. The end product is 123 bp and detected through agarose gel electrophoresis.

My current interest include protein chemistry.
Projects
ยท The dissertation work was carried out at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune under the guidance of Dr. M I Khan. The work employed the use of fungal enzymes for the synthesis of metal nanoparticles. The work was interplay between protein biology and Bionanotechnology. During this particular stint, I gained hands on experience in intricacies of protein purification.
While working toward my bachelor’s degree, I was associated as a trainee at department of research, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal. I got the exposure to wrk in a wet lab. The major area of work was Human cytogenetics.
