Current focus involves the implementation of a Cardiovascular Research Grid (http://www.cvrgrid.org), combining the best practices of the Biomedical Informatics Research Network (http://www.nbirn.net) and the Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (http://cabig.nci.nih.gov), to allow cardiovascular researchers worldwide to easily exchange data and expertise on heart-related illnesses.
