manoj kumar's profile
What I do
I have been working in stem cell research since last five years as a Ph.D student at National Brain Research Centre,Gurgaon, India. My research area is in developmental neuroscience where I am using human embryonic stem cells as a research tool.

Interests
I am interested regulation of neuronal differentiation and subtype specification in human embryonic stem cells. As we know there is no proper treatment for neurodegenerative disease like Parkinson’s, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) where particular type of neurons are degenerated. Understanding the molecular pathway for neuronal differentiation and subtype specification will open door for treatment and understanding these neurodegenerative diseases.
Projects
Understanding the molecular pathway involved in neuronal differentiation and subtype specification in human embryonic stem cells.
