What I do
I run a website on autism for the Simons Foundation, a nonprofit that funds autism research. That means I do a bit of everything—commission articles on autism research, maintain a blog, edit, come up with the headlines and pictures.
Until October ‘07, I did pretty much the same thing for the news section at Nature Medicine.

Interests
For my day job, I think mainly about autism, but in my spare time, I write about anything that catches my fancy. I read about a book a week, obsess about crosswords, go dancing nearly every weekend and watch more movies than anyone else I know. I’m happiest when I’m reporting on the ground, preferably about infectious diseases.
