Walter Fischler's profile
What I do
Graduate student in the Molecular and Cell Biology department at UC Berkeley. I am doing my thesis in Dr. Kristin Scott’s lab studying the sense of taste in drosophila. Interests
Trying to understand how sensory information is converted into animal behavior.
This quote about Pablo Casals does a good job of summing up the creative process:
“Senor Casals, you are such a past master, a virtuoso of this instrument, everyone knows it and acknowledges it. Why do you practice three hours a day?” and he said, “Well, I’m beginning to notice some improvement.”
