I mentioned the message I received about the Don’t Leave Canada Behind campaign in an earlier post. They now have more than 1,800 signatures from Canadian researchers, and a blog (Don’t Leave Canada Behind). That’s awesome researchers are signing a petition. Hope the Tories take notice! I can’t believe how bleak it’s sounding for funding in basic research in canada now. even the aussie govt has it in it’s policy goals that science is to be pursued in three ways, education, basic research and applied research, and not one over the other.
