I got an unexpected compliment from Claire Beynon last weekend – she listed my blog as one of seven that inspire her. Thanks Claire!
I have never in my life replied to a chain mail or similar things, so I feel a little naughty doing this. The award should be passed on to others, who in turn pass it on.. etc. The rules are:
1. Please put the logo (below) of the award on your blog.
2. Link to the person from whom you received the award.
3. Nominate 7 or more blog recipients.
4. Leave a message on their blogs to tell them.
So here’s my pick – there is no particular order of preference (and if you don’t want to play, I understand):
Expression Patterns – Thanks for the twisted angle you add to everything.
Isis the Scientist – you rock, I just don’t get the shoe thing.
Adventures in Ethics and Science – Thanks for touching on so many important issues in a sane way.
A Developing Passion – you’re a superwoman yourself!
Petrona – I will make more time for reading.
Stripped Science – say it with cartoons!
The Boston Blog – Girls, write more!
Reciprocal Space – some of the best titles…

P.S. Did anyone notice? Mostly NN bloggers.. someone might say we’re cliquey or something.
Thanks so much for the tag, Steffi, and the compliment! I did already get tagged for this one by someone else, so wrote a post the other day in response – here it is if that will do for a response to you! . I am not too keen on tagging other bloggers personally so rather than tag people I just invited anyone to have a go at the end of my post.
I think your blog is pretty inspiring, by the way – I very much enjoy reading it. You aren’t shy to write about difficulties or challenges, and I have yet to read you moaning about them. That’s my definition of inspiring – or one definition, certainly.
Thanks Maxine! Your response to the earlier tag is exactly why I had to tag you – my one-liners above pale in comparison :)
Not at all, Steffi. I’ve been blogging for quite a while (in blogging timescales) – I could not have hoped to have written posts like yours so soon after beginning a blog.
Steffi – thank you for both the tag and the heads-up about it. Superwoman, schmuperwoman – it’s all about wanting more than you can have. It would be good to be a little less ambitious and a little more satisfied.
It would be good to be a little less ambitious and a little more satisfied.
I think we’d be set if we just learn to be satisfied with having never-ending ambitions… (it is tiring of course!)
Thanks for this (I forgot). I’m a dead end in 95% of things that require tagging multiple people, so I probably won’t do this (also because most of my blog inspirations comes from non-blogs)
No worries Eva! Yes, my ideas are a probably mostly from ‘non-blogs’ too, but you guys inspire me to just write and get it out there!
