I think he got a few neurons, too.
There was a widely believed theory, that the cell death is the same for the neurons as the lions for the zebras: it kills the slowest ones. So you drink the more, you become smarter :-)
Is there a trial underway? Presumably, medicine is provided free. Are they looking for volunteers?
If there was any chance to prove it, the funding would not be a problem. Any booze manufacturer would be happy to give a fortune, to get involved.
