• The Scientist by Richard Grant

Raising being quoted out of context to an art form: 'awesome, but not always right'. Drinks well with scientists.

Who are ScienceStage.com and why they sending nonrecurring co-operation requests to an email address of mine, that as far as I know, has never been made public?

ScienceStage.com is a virtual conference room, lecture hall, laboratory, library and meeting venue all in one

Are they merely another LinkedIn clone for scientists, out to get my money? All I can find with Giggle are what look like PR posts to weblogs. I’m not too bothered; the only thing that stayed my hand momentarily as my middle finger hovered over ‘delete’ was the thought,

‘What the hell are they doing sending professional email to that address?’

Richard – I’ve had one too. It may well be harmless, but… I deleted it as well.

Me too. It seems to originate from Berlin? Perhaps one of our German colleagues on here can tell more. There is an emphasis on audio/video. I was interested to see Karlheinz Stockhausen in the tag cloud on the home page. Without signing up I can’t tell whether it is a big empty shell or has some real users.
