With the birth of my son I have decided that it’s necessary to work closer to home. I wanted to thank everyone here at Nature Network for welcoming me into the fold. I enjoyed my time here immensely and made connections with people that I hope to maintain for many years to come.
I can assure you that I will continue to be a regular part of the community. I look forward to continuing our discussions both on the comments pages here and at my new home: http://scienceblogs.com/primatediaries. To update your RSS feed please click here.
Thank you again and I wish you all the very best!
Congratulations, Eric, and I look forward to reading your excellent Primate Diaries posts wherever and whenever they may appear.
Hope the new baby and his mom are doing well! If not for Henry, I would have missed all the twupdates and tweetcitement … I don’t do Twitter (though I think it is fair game for bad neologisms). ;-)
It’s a shame for us to see you go sniff, but a sensible move by ScienceBlogs.
I hope you and the family are doing well.
Ah well, a quick click and change in the reader and we’re off again. It’s been good reading here. Many (belated, but still sincere) congratulations on your newest primate, and I’m glad you all came through that experience with no lasting impressions except on your memories.
It’s been good having you on NN! We’ll keep reading wherever you post.
Eric – I haven’t been reading (mea culpa) but wish you all the best. However… why does working closer to home necessitate changing from NN to Science Blogs? Am I missing something? It’s all cyberspace, no?
@Richard: That was in jest. The truth is I’ve wanted to write for ScienceBlogs ever since I started blogging several years ago. But once I got an offer about six weeks ago it was extremely hard to decide (I went back and forth many times). Fortunately I’ve made some excellent friends here and I plan to continue being a regular part of the community.
traitorcongratulations and good luck over there! I’ve added the new blog to my reader. The truth is I’ve wanted to write for ScienceBlogs ever since I started blogging
Ah, NN not good enough for you then.
Fair enough. Enjoy.
People’s Popular Front of Judaea. F@@@in’ splitter.
GOOD LUCK!… and I’ll read you around!
Ah, thanks for the clarification. Not too quick on the irony/sarcasm/humour uptake over here, I’m afraid.
So – forgive my ignorance – ScienceBlogs is a paying gig? A “real” employer, so to speak?
Are you all trying to make me cry? Geesh, I feel bad enough already.
@Henry: I thought we were the Popular Front?
@Richard: They pay a small amount, but it wasn’t the reason. I’ve been interacting with the crew there for many years. I had been told there was a freeze on new blogs, but when they offered I had a really hard time deciding. Chalk that up to how awesome everyone here is. But, don’t worry, I won’t be far away.
a freeze on new blogs
That’s got to be the first time I’ve ever heard that phrase. ;)
Good luck with it!
