• Event: The Darwin Correspondence Project

      Monday, 27 Apr 2009 - 22:50 UTC

Tomorrow, Tuesday 28th April, join Nature in Second Life for an event with Professor James Secord, Director of the Darwin Correspondence Project and Professor of History and Philosophy of Science at Cambridge University.

The Darwin Correspondence Project, founded in 1974, aims to find, research and publish summaries of every letter written by or to Charles Darwin. In this Bicentennial year, Professor Secord will join us in Second Life to discuss Darwin, how the Origin of Species was originally received and his own hopes for the project.

A fascinating look into a very topical project – all welcome!

      Location: Darwin Lecture Area"
      Date: Tuesday 28 April
      Time: 6pm BST / 10am PST

Apologies for re-posting; I just couldn’t let my idiotic spelling go uncorrected, but I didn’t want to change the last title, as it would break the Tiny URL I had already sent out. So at least now you will know I can spell, even if I can’t manage to type all the letters in the right order…
