Then join me and Pooky Amsterdam in Second Life on Thursday (today!) at midday Pacific Time / 7pm GMT for the very first meeting of the as-yet-unnamed Science Fiction group.

Chatting after the podcast last week, some of us thought it would be fun to have other people to read sci-fi books with and chat to about them and that quickly morphed into writing them as well. We haven’t decided exactly on the format yet, but it will definitely involve attempting to write a story together.

Opinion ranged from “cool!” to “that will be horrible” when the idea was mentioned, but I see that as a challenge and have made it my next goal to become a published author ;-) The more the merrier so everyone is very welcome – this will be the very first meeting to see who’s interested and what they want to do. Even if you would rather be brutally slaughtered by a three breasted creature from the deep than help us write about one, come along anyway. We can read books too – whatever anyone wants – and we will definitely need critics!
