      Title: Personal Digital Archives for the 21st Century

      Location: The Elucian Islands, Second Life and The British Library, London

      From 9-11th February, the Digital Lives Research Project will host the first Digital Lives Research Conference on Personal Digital Archives in the 21st Century. Held at the British Library in London, UK, and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the conference aims to explore a wide range of aspects of digital lives and the curation of personal digital archives.

      Day 3 of the conference, February 11th, will be live streamed into Second Life to allow attendees from all over the world to attend and participate. There is a full programme of speakers and panel sessions, covering topics from Virtual Worlds to Internet Law and Digital Trust.

      The conference is free on this day and all are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as desired. To register to attend in Second Life, please see the conference website. When registering for Day 3, please indicate whether you are coming as an avatar or in person or both. Please do not be deterred by the registration procedure. The Digital Lives Research Project is keen to encourage as many avatars as possible as well as real world people of diverse interests and professions.
