      My friend Professor Trellis of North Wales recently visited Hay-on-Wye, the secondhand books capital of the world, and kindly sent me this picture:

      Minds all over the Black Mountains have been boggling at the implications of this strange notice. What could it mean? My favourite Sci-Fi dish must be Squid-On-The-Mantelpiece, but we wondered what toothsome titles we might find in this nouvelle new section.

      • Jamie’s Jatravartids;
      • The Pogril Cottage Hyena-Offal Cookbook by Hugh Fearnleigh-Whittingstall;
      • Nigella Transmutes;
      • Martha Stewart’s Turn Your Space Station into a Home;
      • Gordon Ramsay’s Cooking Nightmares Noctis Labyrinthus
      • Delia Does Deimos

          Whatever you cook remember to wash it down with a nice glass of Helliconia Spring Water still or siliconated as you prefer.
