Just a note to encourage you to come to Cromer Is SO Bracing ’09, a cosy and informal science blogging unconference to be held here in Cromer at the end of February.
I have a venue and a germ of activities, and six people have signed up so far (take a bow Kristi, Graham, Frank, Erika, Martin and Karen) but I’d ideally like a few more to join the throng. There’s still a little more time to register – the venue won’t be pressing me for final numbers for 10 days or so.
Is it an informal unconference or an unformal inconference? And will there be any chance of it turning into an unblogging conference?
Henry – as I’ve been vague I think I’d better say ‘no.’
I want to come but I have had to sign in blood that I will be available for publicity around that weekend, so unless there’s the possibility of deciding the week before for lastminute.com seats, it had better be a no from me.
I’m certainly interested, but holding off at the moment so I can focus on completing grant proposals and
nose pickingteaching duties, before I look into travel costs for next early spring.Definite news next week.
Thooper.
One of two people have asked me about activities for partners/children. Well, there are lots of these (activities, that is) and when I have a minute I shall provide a guide on the conference website.
