    It's a blog. I don't really know what it's about either.

I love this wall at the RI.

Science Online was, ironically, a good chance to meet many people offline . I won’t name them all, because I know I’ll forget someone and there’ll be tears, but you know who you all are, and it was great to finally put a face to the name. I, apparently, don’t look at all like what people think I look like. Sorry about that.

There are tons of photos on Flickr, by me and by other people, and I also recommend looking at the #solo09 hashtag on Twitter, because that’s where people are posting links to their blog posts about the event.

I’m staying with Richard , and am currently watching him edit a video of interviews he did on Friday night, at Fringe Frivolous . I’m sure he’ll gladly confirm that I literally fell over laughing. But don’t worry, I’m the worst off of all interviewees, so I’ll make everyone else look good.

The weather in London is gorgeous, while Toronto was hit by a tornado , so thanks to the organizers for picking this week to hold the conference!

I would take credit for the weather, but you saw the mess I made of the microclimate on the Friday walk picnic.

Great to finally meet you eva.

The colors of the photo are damned amazing. It basically seems to pop out of the screen.

Sabine, wait until you see the pictures at Flickr. I especially like the B&W pictures by Victor Henning (just in) and Joe Dunckley.

I enjoyed seeing the photos on Flickr. The black and white photos are awesome … very 1950s Beat coffeehouse. Why aren’t you all wearing black turtlenecks and berets?

I’d be tempted to try Second Life again, if I could have a Beatnik avatar (instead of the scary Liv Tyler-Hugo Weaving Hybrid Elf Freak that I seem to have chosen).

I share your sentiments about the value of meeting people ‘offline’ – very nice to meet you finally! And thanks to everyone who has posted photos of the event; there’s quite a collection building…

I’m back at work and SO HAPPY because I had a GREAT weekend in London!… It was nice to meet you Eva… (and all the others of course!)
PS: I do agree with you that coffee breaks are the most important part of conferences and meetings
