This is a picture from when I studied at Hogwarts.

And this was when we did the Sorting Hat Ceremony and I was put in Ravenclaw.
It's a blog. I don't really know what it's about either.

Congratulations!!!!!!
Thank you!!!!!!
Oh, did you get your NEWT results or something?
Congratulations!
p.s. I totally would have been in Ravenclaw too ;)
Congratulations! I hope you enjoyed all the pomp and circumstance. Graduation is one of the few times that ritual and tradition are a-ok :)
P.S. Facebook told me I would have been in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Can’t remember which. Not Slytherin. Woo!
Thanks guys!
Anna, I’ve told so many people today (prompted by everyone making Harry Potter comments about the robes) that I know someone who had J.K. Rowling as graduation speaker. EVERYONE IS JEALOUS! (We had Michael Bliss , who did just fine – I’ll blog about his speech later, when I’ve seen the video again and remembered what he said that I wanted to blog about – but he was no Rowling…)
\o/
Crimson suits you just fine, Eva. Congratulations!
I’d only have managed Hufflepuff.
Today I feel like Hufflepuff as well.
Congrats Eva!
Congrats, Eva!
You may be Ravenclaw at heart, but you’re wearing a Gryffindor color. ;-)
I think my undergrad university had a secret Sorting Hat ritual that assigned one to a particular college before matriculation. I ended up in the “phoenix” college that had Gryffindor colors.
Thanks everyone!
Kristi, my old university in Holland had a griffin as logo
That’s a great logo, Eva! Here’s mine.
Beer Bike is our, errr, Quidditch.
Bah. U of T’s logo, as you know, is some manky tree with a motheaten beaver on it (predictably). Glad to see I remembered the hood colour correctly though – you’re looking very glamorous there, Eva!
I am reasonably certain I would be in Hufflepuff, although I might just have scraped Ravenclaw. I used to be good at schoolwork, once upon a time. Definitely not brave enough for Gryffindor, nor
Snapeysneaky enough for Slytherin. When I was sorted, I was made an elf.
So, congratulations!
The UofT logo is kind of Hufflepuffian, now that I think of it. Observe:
The UofT crest
The Hufflepuff crest
Beaver, badger – what’s the difference…
Call that a logo?
That’s a logo:
While Glasgow has apparently gone for the “and a partridge in a pear tree” approach:
And UBC represents the Goblet of Fire and, um, the squiggly blue lines of DOOM
I still think you should have gone with the matching shoes.
The “new” university of Manchester has:
The motto “Cognitio, sapientia, humanitas” probably means “knowledge of bees is widom and prevents them stinging haumanity”, as said by a lion. I always feel I have to apologise for the horrid purple and yellow (gold?) colours but if you are refounded in the 21st century you have to work with whats left in the colour pallette.
Congrats Eva!!… and btw. Ravenclaw rocks!… hahaha! ;-)
What about this logo?… the great owl, snakes… a classic!
Or this one from the University of Chile?… a very symbolic logo:
Jennifer – the shoes match, they are both the same colour. Or am I missing something?
Apparently the University of Chile is full of Freemasons. Who knew? ;-)
My undergrad uni seems more and more Hogwartsian as this thread proceeds.
Jenny, they match the BLACK. Duh.
